Roseburg Live on Stage presents An Afternoon of Comic Opera, featuring soprano Heather Holmquest with the Umpqua Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Jason Heald. The concert will include La Serva Padrona, composed by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi and The Telephone by Gian Carlo Menotti, (both presented in English). La Serva Padrona is a lighthearted intermezzo about a maid, her master, marriage, and successful social mobility. The Telephone a one-act opera buffa about a man, a woman, and her telephone, details the complications that can arise from an over-connected society.
